We Give A Hand Up! (Not A Handout.)

Did you know that each Partner Family with Habitat purchases their home? Because Habitat houses are built using donations of land, material, and labor, mortgage payments are kept affordable for families who otherwise would not qualify for traditional financing. In fact, each Partner Family also is required to contribute at least 250 hours of “sweat equity” on the construction of their home and/or someone else’s. Our goal is to give families in need a hand up not a handout.
