Meet Our Homeowners
The Bach Family
We can't wait for you to meet the Bach family!
“Our current trailer is actually only a two-bedroom with one bathroom, so we had to makeshift a third bedroom just to make things work.” This is reality for Tiffany and her four children, Harper (12), Brody (10), Lyric (7), Bryelle (5), and her father, Dennis, who is in a wheelchair. “The space is certainly small… it’s a party in there,” she added.
It’s one thing for Tiffany and the kids to live in a tight space, but for Dennis in his wheelchair, it’s a constant frustration. “It’s really hard for Dad,” Tiffany said. “He just can’t be independent because of the lack of space. We even had to start using a smaller wheelchair so that it can get around the house,” she explained.

Between the lack of space, the mold, and Dennis’ ongoing care, their housing is more a burden than a blessing. As the caretaker for both her kids and her father, Tiffany feels the weight of that responsibility every day, especially for her dad. “I just want him to be comfortable most of all. He’s already confined to a wheelchair. I want him to be able to freely move around inside his own home,” Tiffany said.
In the midst of this, the family witnessed their former neighbors, Tracy and her son Kane, building their Habitat home. The Campbells moved into their home in 2024, and that encouraged Tiffany to finally apply for Habitat’s Homeownership Program. “We were so excited when we found out we were accepted,” Tiffany said. “Knowing that makes living right now easier because I have something I can look forward to and count on!”
Now, Tiffany and her family can anticipate owning a Habitat home big enough for all of them and designed to be wheelchair accessible. To Tiffany, it means more than just a roof over their heads. As she tearfully explained: “It makes me feel like a better mom that I can offer them something more. When Brody is sick, there’s nothing I can do, so I just feel guilty for what I can’t do for them. Same for caring for my dad. I have to say ‘no’ a lot, even when I don’t want to,” Tiffany said.

With a new home come simple luxuries that many take for granted. Some homeowners look forward to things they didn’t have before, like a dishwasher. To this, Tiffany joked, “I already have four dishwashers!” and eyed her kids. Then in a more somber tone, she explained what she really desires: “I want to have a family dinner at a real table. We have a table, but it’s not big enough for everyone, so some have to sit in another room. I just want to have a meal all together as a family.”
The land their home will sit on also carries special meaning to the Bach family; it’s where Tiffany’s grandparents used to live. “That’s the home I grew up going to in the summers. Other family members lost possession of it, so I’m excited to bring it back into the family. Building on this land would mean so much to my family and me,” she added.
In the end, Tiffany describes the idea of owning her own home soon as a dream: “We just appreciate the chance to finally own a home of our own.”
